Haul & Tow Requirements


Haul & Tow is built for experienced operators with the right equipment, safety mindset, and attention to detail.

Driver qualifications

  • CDL-A required

  • 50,000+ miles of towing experience

  • Clean DOT record

Equipment basics (summary)

  • Truck: Presentable 2-ton or larger power unit with proper mirrors for wide loads

  • Deck: 22’ minimum (25’+ preferred) with center rail/track system, ramps, and securement points

  • Deck height: 32”–36” at the step (lower is better) and must not exceed 36”

  • Model year: 2000 or newer (or reviewed/certified by Horizon staff)

  • Insurance: $1,000,000 unladen liability (minimum)

  • Compliance & safety: Current DOT inspection, required safety gear, brake controller, proper hitch/ball setup, winch, straps/ratchets, chains, and other DOT-required items
