Get ready for an All-American day packed with celebration, connection, and well-earned recognition, including vendors, giveaways, awards, special guests, food carts, prizes, music, Hall of Fame drivers, the Declaration of Safety Document booth, and a fun Swap Meet & Truck Show where drivers can show off their patriotic pickup, semi, car, or favorite ride. With great food from Nelson’s and plenty of chances to mingle, laugh, share stories, and celebrate the people who keep Horizon moving, DAD250 is our way of saying thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and pride. Join us for Horizon Transport’s America 250 – Driver Appreciation Day as we celebrate our amazing Horizon drivers with an All-American summer event full of recognition, fun, food, music, giveaways, and patriotic spirit!

🇺🇸 Swap Meet & Truck Show: Drivers are invited to bring their pickup truck, semi, car, or favorite ride and showcase their patriotic theme as part of our America 250 celebration.
🍔 All-American Cookout from Nelson’s: Come hungry for Port-a-Pit hamburgers and hot dogs, mac and cheese, Eva’s baked beans, fruit, chips, and more.
🎉 Come ready to celebrate: Wear your red, white, and blue, enjoy the summer day, connect with fellow drivers, and help us recognize the people who keep Horizon moving forward.

Truck & Car Show Driver Instruction Guide
Thank you for participating in the 2026 Driver Appreciation Day Truck & Car Show. This year’s show will feature an America 250 patriotic theme, and drivers are encouraged to decorate their vehicles with red, white, and blue displays, American flags, patriotic regalia, and creative America 250 items.
This is meant to be a fun, lighthearted show celebrating Horizon drivers, their vehicles, and their patriotic spirit.
Who May Participate?
Any active Horizon driver may participate.
Each driver may display one vehicle.
Eligible vehicles include:
- Pickup truck
- Semi tractor
- Tow vehicle
- Classic vehicle
- Classic show car or truck
Semi tractors must be bobtail only. No trailers will be displayed in the truck show area.
How Many Spaces Are Available?
There are 50 truck show spaces available.
Spaces will be assigned as drivers arrive and check in.
Arrival & Check-In Time
Truck show arrival and setup will take place from:
7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
All vehicles must be checked in, parked, and set up by 8:45 a.m.
Drivers should arrive early enough to allow time for parking, placing their entry number, and setting up any patriotic decorations or display items.
Where to Check In
Drivers should enter through the designated truck show check-in area in the main parking lot.
At check-in, each driver will receive:
- Assigned parking space number
- Vehicle entry number/sign
- Display instructions
- Voting information
Please follow volunteer directions when entering and parking.
Parking & Setup
The truck show will be set up in the main parking lot on blacktop.
Vehicles will be parked in a mixed display area, meaning pickups, semi tractors, tow vehicles, and classic vehicles may be parked throughout the show area.
Once parked, please stay within your assigned space.
Your entry number must be displayed clearly so voters can identify your vehicle on the ballot.
Vehicle Movement Rule
For guest safety, once your vehicle is parked and the show begins, it may not be moved.
No vehicle movement is allowed during guest hours.
All show vehicles must remain parked until the Driver Appreciation Day event ends and staff reopens the show lot.
Patriotic Display Guidelines
This year’s theme is America 250, so patriotic displays are strongly encouraged.
Drivers may decorate their vehicle and assigned space with:
- American flags
- Red, white, and blue decorations
- Patriotic banners
- America 250 items
- Military or veteran tribute items, if respectful
- Small display signs
- Small display tables
- Chairs
- Vehicle-mounted decorations
- Decorations placed around the vehicle
All decorations and display items must stay within your assigned parking space.
Not Allowed
For safety reasons, the following are not allowed:
- Generators
- Loud music
- Grills
- Open flames
- Powered or electrical display items
- Trip hazards
- Sharp or unsafe protruding decorations
- Items blocking walkways, neighboring spaces, or the main aisle
Small flags and decorations attached to vehicles are allowed as long as they are secure and safe.
Voting
Voting will be done by Horizon drivers and staff using a Google Survey link on a smartphone.
Voters will select vehicles by entry number, so make sure your number is easy to see.
Voting will be open during the event and winners will be announced at noon.
Award Categories
Awards will be given in three fun patriotic categories:
- Best Patriotic Spirit
For the entry that best captures red, white, and blue pride. - Most Creative America 250 Display
For the most creative patriotic display and use of the America 250 theme. - People’s Choice: All-American Favorite
For the vehicle voters simply love the most.
Each vehicle may win only one award, so three different drivers will be recognized.
Driver Checklist
Before arriving, please make sure you have:
- Your vehicle clean and ready for display
- Patriotic decorations secured
- Any small display items packed
- No prohibited items
- Enough time to arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.
- A plan to keep your display within your assigned space

For our 2026 patriotic Truck & Car Show and Swap Meet theme, we’ve invited more than 20 valued vendors to join us for the festivities. Drivers can look forward to visiting with parts and equipment vendors, checking out products, shopping special event deals, and connecting with companies that support the work you do every day.
In addition to parts and equipment, we expect vendors representing banking, insurance, lodging, apparel, driver services, and more.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, we’re putting together a good old-fashioned, all-American patriotic event to honor the men and women who keep our industry moving — our incredible Horizon drivers.
🚛 This year’s theme:
A patriotic truck and car show with a swap meet, designed to get drivers, guests, vendors, and staff outside, walking around, visiting, and enjoying the day together.

⭐ What to Expect
We anticipate 450 to 600 drivers and guests in attendance.
Each vendor will receive:
10 x 10 outdoor vendor space

🚶 A great opportunity to interact directly with drivers and guests
Please note that all vendor spaces will be located outside of the pavilion, so electrical access will not be available.
As we get closer to the event, a floorplan layout will be posted on both the registration site and the main event landing page.
